WWF Msia calls on Terengganu for state park

KUALA TERENGGANU (June 6, 2013): The World Wide Fund for Nature-Malaysia (WWF Malaysia) has urged the state government to enhance conservation at the Setiu Wetlands by gazetting it as the first state park.

PETA attacks ‘Got Milk’ campaign

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia has slammed the Public Health Ministry’s “Got Milk” campaign, which promotes daily milk consumption, as a short-sighted policy which should be replaced with “Got Soy Milk”.

In a letter to Deputy Public Health Minister Cholanan Srikaew, PETA said the recently launched campaign calling for more milk consumption to boost people’s height seems a bit short-sighted. It suggests that the ministry instead recommend soy milk, which PETA says is healthier and also safe for people who are lactose intolerant or have milk allergies …
