Animal thefts ‘epidemic’: Welfare groups warning amid rise in number of pets stolen in Tayide

Animal groups have warned Tayside pet owners to be vigilant after a surge in the number of thefts across the region.

Last year alone, 172 animals were stolen in Dundee, Angus and Perth and Kinross, up 82 from 2012. These figures compare to the relatively small numbers from Tayside in 2010, when there were just 14 animals stolen …
