a zoo in Northern Germany has said that, since their income has decreased during the pandemic, they will sacrifice some of the animals in their care by feeding them to others if they have to. They’ve even decided, in advance, which animals would live and die, promising their 12 foot tall polar bear would be at the top of the food chain. But why in the world does this zoo even have to think this way?
Germany is one of the richest countries in the entire world. Certainly their government could provide emergency funding or ensure that the animals are rehomed to sanctuaries that have more resources. The idea that the zoo will just start feeding some animals to bigger ones is truly horrifying. The zoo has over 700 animals, some of which are endangered species. There has to be another way. Please sign to demand the zoo not implement this horrifying plan to feed their animals to each other!
