Calls for UPS to ban hunting trophy shipments following Cecil the lion killing

DELIVERY giant UPS has been urged to stop the shipping of hunting trophies aboard its vehicles following the killing of Cecil the lion.

The US-based multi-national is one of the last hauliers to have resisted calls to ban shipping such animal parts, despite the global chorus of condemnation following Cecil’s death.

Today a leading animal rights campaigner called on bosses at the firm to change that stance, warning that the ability to ship twisted trophies back to their home countries is one of the key reasons why hunters go to Africa in the first place.

Africa’s most famous lion Cecil was killed by American dentist Walter Palmer, who had planned to ship his head back to the USA …
