High Court lifts domestic ban on rhino horn trade

Last night WWF applauded the South African government’s decision to appeal the lifting of the domestic ban on trading rhino horn.
It overturns a moratorium on the trade imposed by the government in 2009 to address rhino poaching.
The Department of Environmental Affairs said no decision had been made on whether to appeal the decision or not.
