The European Commission and the Danish Presidency of the EU are organising in Brussels an International Conference: Implementing animal welfare through the new EU strategy: consumers’ empowerment and market opportunities (29 February – 1 March 2012).

The initiative aims to present the Commisison strategy and to raise consumers’ empowerment on animal welfare. The event will offer the possibility to analyse the opportunities given by the market driven approach, to reinforce the implementation of the current animal welfare legislation and to present the latest developments in animal welfare research and sciences.
